The JetRest travel pillow - a British design - is L-shaped. By leaning back against the pillow, the cushion stays in place even when sleeping. The padded 'wing' supports the head in the upright position thus providing good support to the neck and side of the head. Inner: - made of soft polyester fibre. Outer: soft synthetic fleece. Ditch the useless inflatable horse-shoes....this is a far better option
An essential for frequent long haul travelers who have to endure "zoo" or "cattle" class. Ensures a much better neutral position of the neck when trying to get head support in the upright or slightly reclined seating possible in economy seating. Not perfect, but after 14 odd trips back and forth from UK to the antipodes, this is by far the best from extensive enforced product trial. A little bulky to carry, but you can compress it a little extra with it's built in velcro strap, and worth the space sacrifice in hand luggage for the neck comfort gained. Cheaper than an upgrade to business/first, which is the only way you'll manage to be more comfortable.
