Product Description

"The Frustrated Songwriter's Handbook" lays out a concrete method, called Immersion Composition, for any songwriting musician/composer who experiences creative block. The method forces a musician to actively engage his/her creativity by writing as much music as possible in a set time period. In doing so, the reader will find that those elusive moments of inspiration can actually be summoned on command, resulting in creative productivity and fulfillment the reader never dreamed possible. The book also lays out the framework for forming a group of like-minded songwriters (a "lodge"), presents dozens of tips and games for making the most out of an Immersion Composition session, and shows how to sort through the results of a session and expand/revise the best ideas into finished, polished songs.

MOJO RESTORATION MANUAL5
This is a wonderful book. At its core is a very simple idea: write twenty brand new songs in a day. You won't manage, but as you try, you may just find that you don't have time to listen to your inner critic, and before you know it you may also find that your muse has turned up to offer a helping hand.

Don't expect advice on chord progressions or how to write a killer hook, but you probably already have one or two of those gathering dust on your shelf, right?

If you've run low on creative inspiration, this might be just what you need.

waste of money1
a novel idea but that's all it is - one idea which doesn't warrant more than a page never mind a whole book. And if your not prepared (or are unable) to try the techniques out with friends you can discard about half the book).

Inspiring5
I really enjoyed this book and it truly exceeded my expectations. Unlike all other books in this genre it provides a very clear blueprint as to how to overcome writer's block. I can't recommend this book highly enough. While all the principles may not apply to you (for instance one of the main suggestions is that you set up a "lodge" which is pretty much a form of creative group therapy and may not be to everyone's liking), there is surely something of use here for everyone.

This book had me chomping at the bit - it's very much the kick up the backside that a lot of us creative types need from time to time!
