Go for it
I got this to replace a well worn business Compaq. Ordered at about 1700hrs on the Thursday, its showed up about 1100hrs Friday. Quite impressive really.

Laptop great, looks good in white, feels solid without being heavy. Battery life good at about 4hrs. Nice feature is when you want to quickly look at something online, open the laptop, press the web button and it sparks into life more or less straight away, just with the browser operating, rather than doing a full boot up. Thats a really handy feature.

So I'd recommend it as a pretty well priced Sony. Very pleased with deciding on this from the plethora of stuff out there.

This is a really good value for money if this was a mac it would cost £1500 ;P if u want to buy a nice smart yet affordable laptop computer the sony vaio NW20EF / s /w or /p is 100% the one to get

Bought this laptop about a month ago for university work and home entertainment, and I have absolutely no regrets so far - the 15.5 inch screen is great for watching movies - the display is crisp and clear and the sound quality from the built-in speakers is pretty good. Even with the seemingly large widescreen, it's quite easy to carry this laptop around as it's not too heavy (though clearly not as light as a netbook would be). With a built-in webcam and microphone and pre-installed Skype software it's great for communicating with friends and family right away. The SD card and Memory Stick Pro card readers are great for transferring photos directly from my camera to my computer without any cables. It's incredibly quiet yet fast, good-looking, and easy to use once you get used to Windows 7, which I think is a very user-friendly operating system. I especially like the one-touch web access which means you don't have to boot up the whole system to get on the internet (although it really doesn't take that long even if you do choose to access the internet the normal way). I would definitely recommend to others, although you should be aware that, as with many other laptops, the anti-virus protection and Microsoft Office 2007 software are limited trial versions only so you would have to either purchase after the trial period or install some alternative.
