For untold centuries, a secret conflict has been waged between two immortal rivals: The vampires - ageless aristocrats with a sensual appetite for blood and luxury. Among their ranks are the Death Dealers, an elite corps of the undead sworn to the destruction of their ancestral enemies...The werewolves - feral warriors capable of transforming into hellish beasts of unearthly power and ferocity. Once the enslaved servants of the vampires, the savage lycans now fight tooth and claw against their former masters. Throughout history, the clandestine war has been fought in the shadows of the mortal world. And the seeds of this destructive conflict were sown long ago, when a young lycan lost his heart to a beautiful vampire princess...

Rise of the Lycans
It didn't go into as much detail on the characters thoughts and feelings as much as I would have liked but it was still a really good read and if you like the Underworld films you'll like this book aswell.
A surprisingly good read!
I bought this because I wanted to fill in some of the gaps in the storyline of the movie. The novel does this, and is also nicely written. Would definitely recommend to Underworld fans. It has obviously been very cheaply produced, however, and for this reason I cannot give it five stars.
