Useful as a second detailed guide, but you will need others!2
I used this guide on holiday in 2002. On the plus-side it did lead me to explore towns and villages that I would probably otherwise have omitted from my schedule, which would have been my loss. The information provided is detailed, and useful if you want local history. On the down-side all the information on the towns and villages is referenced alphabetically, rather than by area. So, if you want to find out about the villages around Narbonne, for example, you will need to consult a map and look up each village separately, which is obviously time consuming and not something you feel like after a nice afternoon in a village cafe!
The contents include an introduction to the region, list of sights, practical information, thematic maps, town plans, monuments and sights and regional touring maps.
All in, not really suitable if it's the only book you are taking, but for more detailed information or if you already know the area, very useful

No Millau bridge!!3
As with most Michelin Green Guides this one is most difficult to find your way around until you are well used to it. Once you've sussed it and adapted the search to your own circumstances. it's not too bad. It's a very comprehensive guide with great features and is a worthy addition to the many other Green Guides I have.

However, I bought the Languedoc Rousillon Tarn Gorges guide mainly for one purpose - to glean more information on the fantastic Millau Bridge that crosses the Tarn. I hope to visit soon (note "visit" and not "cross"!!!!). My information taken from the Amazon listing was that the guide was the 5th edition published in January 2008, although I confess that I can find no confirmation of this in the guide itself. There's absolutely no mention of the bridge in the guide even though it was inaugurated in December 2004.

Thus I am really very disappointed and have had to access the further information I require from other sources. Apart from this, which is a major blow as far as I am concerned, this is a good guide and should be very useful - in other areas of course!
