A superb cross-section of Cornwall
I have had this book for many years and have done most of the walks from it. Without exception, they have all been beautiful, breathtaking and thoroughly memorable walks. It's difficult to pick a favourite as they are all very good in their own way, but the clifftop views on the Porthcurno walk take some beating. Not the cheapest book of its type but well worth the money for the fantastic days out it inspires.
Great Guide
Opened up a side of Cornwall previously undiscovered in 25 years of family holidays in the area. The guide is ecellent, easy to follow (only got confused once or twice on four walks) and the views from the coastal footpath are breathtaking!
An excellent all time favourite book!
As we have loved holidaying in Cornwall over the past seven years, the 'Cornwall: Walks'(Pathfinder Guide)Book has been an excellent guide to take along with us. Gradually over the years we have tried out many of the walks and have spent wonderful days out completing them.
This is an excellent guide which I would recommend to anyone whether on holiday or living in Cornwall.
As well as having an appropriately scaled O.S. Map with clear route directions, there is interesting and descriptive information of features along the way, as well as important information about parking. It makes you feel that someone has spent a long time investigating each walk in a friendly, descriptive manner.
I like how the book is presented having circular walks categorized into 'short easy walks' 'walks of modest length' and 'challenging walks' making the book accessible to all standards of walkers.
(The PathFinder Guides also produce walking books for other areas in the same format.)
We're back in Cornwall this year and we will be definately trying some new walks from this great book!
