Good overview of the process - but a bit dated
This edition is a bit old now, a lot has changed in the last few years, including Murcia (Costa Calida) actually being on the map ;-) As with many guidebooks on Spain, my favourite region gets very little mention. The house prices mentioned in 2004 were certainly surpassed, but who knows with the "Spanish property crash" maybe these prices will soon be current again! It's quite a light book, but gives a good overview of the process and I like that it covers all of the areas (renting, letting, buying, selling)
great book
Fantastic, This book has everything you need if you are thinking of moving to Spain. it could save you a small fortune
THOROUGH AND INFORMATIVE
I found this book particularly clear and very well set out. Information is easy to find. The author covers the main points that I needed to know, and really gets to grips with the central issues of buying property in Spain - especially new property. The book contains crucial advice on inheritance and wealth tax.We found the information on settling in very good, especially the sections on learing Spanish and schooling in Spain. An excellent book that I can highly recommend!
