Little useful information
I normally use Lonely Planet guides but I bought the Rough Guide because I couldn't find an LP for Mallorca. It was a waste of money. Lots of background but few hard and up-to-date facts. The only items shown on the few maps are restaurants and hotels. If I needed some specific information it wasn't there. Not a patch on the exhaustive LP format.

Very disappointed - Hardly updated
Am very disappointed with this as I used to own the 2001 guide but mislaid it. I assumed that this would have been updated but a lot hasn't - I visit Mallorca regularly - & it is now out of date. It now covers both Mallorca & Menorca & therefore less information. I also own the Time Out Guide & would recommend that one over this. Come on Rough Guides you're losing your touch!

Couldn't have survived without it.
The information dispensed by Phil Lee is of the highest quality, his advice on restaurants was particularly well received by our family. The historical information was very well researched and provided us with an exciting and revealing holiday on a beautiful island.
