Talk Dirty Spanish - Ay Caramba!
I started learning Spanish a month ago. I bought 'the complete idiots guide', which is excellent, an audio course, a phrasebook and a dictionary. But this is the one I dip into most frequently- it's a riot! But make no mistake, it is a legitimate phrasebook, it just makes learning much more fun! Be warned however, do not buy this if you are easily shocked!
Buy it if you want to learn how Spanish works re slang and swearing, and if you want to reduce your Spanish friends to fits of helpless laughter.
a final word- some of the phrases are peculiar to certain countries e.g: Spain but not Mexico, or Colombia but not Spain, etc. So a Mexican phrase may make no sense to a Chilean and vice versa.
