Thespian tendencies creep in a bit too much
Informative and entertaining. Unfortunately, by the time Mark got to the 4x4 in the series he'd gone a bit more showbiz. It just didn't seem to provide the same volume of techy info that previous projects provided. Despite that comment, well worth viewing and the end result almost made me go out and buy a Defender.

VERY INFORMATIVE AND ENJOYABLE SERIES
The product description for this DVD is incorrect as the series is spread over two discs not one. The series itself is fantastic and is broken up in to 35 short chapters covering everything from body work, engine rebuilding and gearboxes. There is a final chapter where Mark Evans takes his creation on a test drive. The information is clear and concise with difficult concepts being explained very well by the presenter.
There are also lots of useful tips and tricks and informative segments on MIG welding and processes such as galvanising. Mark Evans dose a fantastic job of making all this information interesting and accessible and adds life to complex subjects. The constant jokes and pranks may be an acquired taste, however it's all in jest and this DVD wouldn't be half as interesting without them.

This is a fantastic series and a must own for any Land Rover enthusiast. You wouldn't expect a series about a man in garage to be as much fun as this.
