Especially disappointing considering the brand
I choose this product as a slightly more expensive option due to the Speedo name, and with it, the expectation of higher quality for use on holiday in the Maldives.

After going in the sea a couple of times the mouth piece started leaking, it comes apart easily enough for cleaning but was soon unusable. A day later the mask itself started to split and the flippers also flexed too much so weren't a great deal of help (possibly because of the warmth of the water?!).

All were binned on the third day and replaced with some from the resort shop with which I had no problems.

Dissappointing snorkel
I seem to have had a similar disappointment with this product. Bought the snorkel, mask and fins set for a holiday in Egypt in March. Chose the Speedo brand as it is normally a brand I can rely on, as I buy many of their swimming costumes. On my 3rd outing with the set, the snorkel was taking in water every time I breathed in. Couldn't see any obvious damage or reason for this, but having read the other reviews here, it seems that maybe there is a design or manufacturing fault with this item!!

Good name-rubbish mask
I bought this product for my 14 year old daughter, solely for use on holiday in Cancun, where I have heard there is good snorkelling to be had. I received the item promptly, much to my daughters delight, about 7 days prior to departure.

The first time she used it, we were at Xcaret, which is a kind of theme park, allowing access to subterranean waterways - perfect! Perfect until she put on the mask and then the retaining pin to the mask strap broke out of the 'semi-rigid' plastic retaining hole, rendering the mask utterly un-serviceable!

It broke her little heart, all of the excitement, all of the build-up, and she could not satisfactorilly enjoy the product.

On close analysis it seems a strange design/choice of material; but hey, what do I know? I supervised the fitting and wearing of the mask and was stunned by how quickly and easily it broke. Having only retrurned from holiday on Sunday (31st August) it was my intention to write to Speedo about this, but this invitation to 'Review Product' came to me first.

On the plus side the snorkel tube is a great design, with a wave protector and evacuation chamber. The fins are ok, but I would suggest a bit 'lightweight' for any 'serious' diving in the sea.

The neat little set looked like a real bargain, but disappointment over-rules!Speedo Glide Mask Snorkel And Fin Set
