Wow....the best dance album you'll ever hear!5
One word.....wow. This double disc album contains some of the best dance tracks ever written, from the grooviness of the 70s, through to old skool classics and modern day anthems, all fused together to produce an amazing mix.

Each track contains 2 or 3 separate tunes which have been cut up and slotted in together with amazing smoothness and dexterity. I'm sure the whole process was incredibly pain-staking and time-consuming but the Cut Up Boys have delivered a fantastic and most unique sound.

The first cd starts with funky old skool and snippets of hip hop through Young MC and Snoop Doggy Dogg, and this progresses through to more recent tracks such as Stonebridge, Freemasons and Joey Negro.

CD1 Highlights:

Axwell/Stonebridge/Bizarre Inc
Freemasons/Iio/Gat Decor
Joey Negro/Studio B

The second CD is far more trancy and up-tempo with classics such as Lost Tribe, Push and Solar Stone. Check out the opening track which sees Baby D mixed with the theme tune from Baywatch!!

CD2 Highlights:

Lost tribe/The Space Brothers
Verococha/Axwell
Svensons & Gielen/Harley & Muscle
Solar Stone/Mish Mash

Overall, this is ground-breaking dance album which is amazingly listenable due to the care and attention put into making the tracks flow so easily. Love it, love it, love it.

"This Is Jam Hot"5
The Cut Up Boys came to my attention last year when they released the first Mash Up Mix, as it was fresh, innovative and really cool. The mixing and mashing of accapellas and instrumentals was so fresh that it redefined an idea which came originally from hip hop. Many have said they're the best in the world, and I'd have to agree wholeheartedly, they know their beats, harmonies and styles and know how to make them shine. Take the Beats International mash up with Young MC, it's class!

This 2CD set is no let down; it is 140+ mins of non-stop dance music. They only care about one thing and that's your enjoyment. Love the way they cut and paste accapellas into their mixes, bringing the voice of Snoop Dogg with Young MC, putting the amazing vocals of Kariyna with the Jakata's trancy spacious instrumental.

Other classic moments come in the shape of Freemasons' moody disco instrumental with Iio's rather haunting vocals; I just wonder where they get their material! This isn't normally what DJs have in their box, and thank god someone's come along and changed that!

My only complaint is CD2, it's a bit too trancy for me, but if you like that sort of eletronica then you'll be in heaven. Though I love the way they've carefully placed the accapellas over the instrumentals without a hint of displacement.

This album is like an aural collage, but without the nasty edges which were hard to cut - it's like a 10000 piece jigsaw from a few feet away, you can't see the joins, and if you were a novice to dance music you'd never know these were not meant to go together. This is the sign of a good bootleg, and The Cut Up Boys are the kings and should have a place in the record books of intelligent bootlegging.

This is amazing, you should definitely buy this, hip hop fans and dance music alike, as it's really reviving what dance music was about, spirit, music and the ability to remix the music to make a good record.

This is the Ministry Of Sound's best album for a LONG time in my opinion. Commendable mix; well worth your money.

like 2 many djs hits the dancefloor!5
having bought last year's mash up mix, was looking forward to the new one when i saw it was coming out. i felt that disc 2 of the first mash up mix was a bit hard, and not in keeping with what i thought it should be - ie. a party album, like the 2 many djs one.

this time though, it's all good! the first 30 minutes of disc one are truly incredible - beats international, voodoo ray, young mc, nomad, shannon, mylo, snoop dogg! really really good, mixed up, scratched up, literally faultless.

the rest of disc one keeps up the pace, hitting some newer dance stuff from Joey Negro, Soulseekerz etc, but mixing it up with Bizarre Inc, Jakatta and Kariya. again really inventive.

disc two is this time really good as well, more breakbeaty with Baby D, Snap, Shamen, Johnny L and Public Domain - just a more frenetic version of disc one.

overall is absolutely great, those first 30 mins of disc one i'll still be listening to in 10 years time, is that good!!
