Synopsis
Centuries ago, as the race of humans grew and developed becoming the dominant species upon the planet, great civilisations grew and conquered other nations. However, in the dark lands, where society had not progressed much beyond small villages and towns, there lived a small boy and his family who led a simple and uncomplicated existence. After a childhood accident, young N'Endel begins to notice that he has a strange effect on the people around him. When tragedy strikes, he is ripped away from family life and thrust deep into an adventure that will dominate the rest of his life.

One of the best books I've read!
As the title says, this really has been one of the best books I've ever read.
Interesting characters, an enthralling story from beginning to end and an interesting take on witches, beasts and other fantasy creatures.
The story follows the life of N'Endel, a young boy who grows to have the ability to sense and project certain feelings around him. Soon after the story begins we are taken on an exciting journey which turns this young boy's life upside down and forever changes his life.
As N'Endel grows up he rises through the social ladder before heading on a quest to seek a cure for a mysterious disease plighting his city.
I thoroughly recommend this book to any lovers of fantasy novels, even those who don't usually enjoy fantastical stories will probably enjoy G.C. Jones' interesting take on mythical creatures and the forces of nature.
I look forward to other books in this series.
Highly Recommended
What an excellent read, once you start its hard to put it down. The imagination and commitment that has gone into this is a credit to its author. I hope that the story of N'Endel continues.
