This bag is invincible
So I bought this bag before I did A-levels, it lasted the last 2 years at school, a further 3 years at uni and then some more in the real world at work. I think I had it about 10 years before it is finally starting to become a little unusable. The zip was indeed the first thing to give out. The straps are still fine though, there are no holes in the bottom, and I have regularly abused it travelling and camping etc. This bag is well worth the money and will last you a long time.
I think I will go try one of the satchels now as a replacement :)
Simply put, Eastpak bags rule.
I got my first Eastpak bag in early 2003, and I still use it every weekday for work. The bag came with a thirty year guarantee and I remember thinking it would never last for thirty years: I think I was wrong.
Zips are usually the weak points on backpacks, and they tend to give up after 18 months or so. But the Eastpak 24 litre has a fantastically strong zip, and coupled with the durable stiching and strong fabric, it's the best investment I've ever made.
The must have ruck sack
At my son's school this is the 'only' bag to have. He assured me it has a life long guarantee and so far it has survived a whole school year and is still going strong. Not the cheapest but would recommend as good value for money.
