Weighing just 250g, the travel safe uses a high security laminated construction of high-tensile, flexible stainless steel wire mesh, sandwiched between a durable weather-resistant nylon outer layer and a inner canvas layer to protect the contents of the bag. The stainless steel drawstring secures the bag and is kept firmly closed by a reinforced high-impact resistant polycarbonate locking system. The Travel Safe is then fastened with a hardened shackle brass padlock, supplied with the product (includes 3 keys). By looping the drawstring around a hotel door handle or radiator pipe, through the frame of a motorcycle, the bracket of a car seat, or a city centre cycle stand the Travel Safe can be secured to any suitable fixture. With a 2.5 litre internal capacity (measuring 35 x 21 x 1.3 cm when empty), the Travel Safe is large enough to hold your valuable possessions, leaving you free to relax and enjoy your trip, while saving you money on locker and hotel safe charges.

Great idea
I think this is a fantastic idea. Its small enough to take away with you on holiday and is ideal for storing passports, phones, extra credit cards etc. Your not going to fit your DSLR in there but that's not what it was designed for.
I usually lock this somewhere out of the way like under the sink or in a cupboard for extra security.
It won't stop a determined theif with bolt cutters but will save you you from opportunistic theft by cleaners etc.
Would recommend to others if for nothing else than keeping your passports in.

The `Pacsafe Travelsafe 100' offers a simple but highly effective idea to help you with your holiday security. This features as exomesh bag that is covered in a water resistant (not waterproof) bag that you can put your holiday money, travellers cheques, passports and any other items you wish to keep secure into, draw the top closed and then secure it around a fixed item in your hotel room (or car) to provide a secure haven for your valuables. The exomesh is like large, secure chicken wire and is slash proof and a steel cable runs through the top of the bag to be secured with the sturdy padlock that is also provided. It is claimed that you can use this as a portable safe and whilst it will not stop determined thieves (like those with bolt cutters to cut through the cable) it will certainly deter most opportunist thieves that may break into your hotel room looking for easy pickings. The bag capacity is adequate for most holiday valuables and I can easily fit my mp3, small digital camera and holiday documents inside with ease. It is also light to carry and comes with an elastic band to keep it rolled up in your luggage when you travel. I can so see no real issues with people cutting the external bag and taking out loose items from between the wire gaps and you can always put small items in another bag, inside the safe if this is a concern. This is a simple design, that is well made and highly suitable for holiday security. Well worth considering for your travel adventures.
