Great for the fridge
The problem with the old style models is finding where to put it in the fridge of course and usually you end up losing space by taking a shelf out! This does just what it should and slips in the door shelf easily. Only problem is the lid falls off too easy when pouring.

Saves space, But water is iffy..
As someone who is concerned with quality of water I've been drinking filtered Brita water for years, so I bought a space saving water jug with this filter in it because we bought a new fridge, but was very surprised at how weak this filter was. I am very surprised that it only lasts 4 weeks (which is a ridiculously short filter life) and it's contents are very loose inside to where you could see through it. This filter lasted almost the the whole 4 weeks. by the end, I tasted the tap water even after pouring it through several times. There is a rough patch at the bottom of the pitcher where the limescale has been getting through (in the spot where it trickles inside.) It is not just the one filter but a few I have used and everytime it's the same. I went back to bottled water again because I feel that I don't even want to drink the water out of my pitcher. Now I use it to water plants. I miss my old Brita filters where they were packed tightly and consistently and gave me CLEAN, crisp, great-tasting water. Whoever designed these should be fired.

Useful and Easy Jug
The old style models is old fashion and square. I`ll out finding where to put it in the fridge and won`t fit in my small fridge.... of course... and usually you end up losing space by taking a shelf out...small fridge! This does just what it should and slips in the door shelf easily. Only problem is the lid falls off too easy when pouring and use to hold it. And easy to pull out of refill water in jug. Good jug ...better for noting and very cheap!!!
