Star Tek - The new beginning
Having purchased the original range of Star Trek toys I was really looking forward to this model based on the re-imagined USS Enterprise. I am a little disappointed!
As a toy it is fine, but as a collectable not so good
The sound effects that it generates are uninspiring with alot of actors voices instead of the actual sounds, more engine sounds and weapons would be more acceptable
All of the lights are the same colour and sync together
The plastic feels cheap compared to the original models and if given as a toy I do not think it would last very long
With the advancement in toy technology I would expected better

THE RE-IMAGINING OF THE CLASSIC ENTERPRISE.
I have yet to see the new movie and i can't wait , but here we have the new/old ship re-imagined by Director JJ Abrams for a new generation. On first impression the design takes much from the 1966 original Constitution class but to me looks more like the Constitution 2 class from the 1979 movie only sleeker. It's much sleeker and more powerful than the Trek norm as seems to be the case with the whole new movie I would imagine. The 'Toy' has lights and sounds and looks to be a real boon to any Trek related collection.

ENTERPRISE
WHEN YOU OPEN THE BOX TO SEE THIS MODEL IT LOOKS AMAZING. SOME GOOD DETAIL ON IT, AND LOOKS GREAT FROM ANY ANGLE.

BUT I WAS DISSAPOINTED WITH THE SOUND EFFECTS, JUST NOT WHAT I WOULD EXPECT. THEY SOUND A BIT CHEAP. IF THE TOY IS DROPPED IT COULD EASILY BREAK AND YOU WOULD HAVE AN UNHAPPY CHILD TO CONTEND WITH.
THIS IS BEST USED AS AN DISPLAY ITEM ON A SHELF.
