Synopsis
A deadly shape-shifting assassin (Robert Patrick) is sent back in time to succeed where his cyborg predecessor failed--to eliminate Sarah Connor's son (Edward Furlong) before he gets a chance to make history, leading the humans in a war against the machines. The original cyborg (Arnold Schwarzenegger) also returns, but this time as the boy's protector.

T2 is A1 at last5
I have just watched the US version Skynet T2 blu ray and I am pleased to report that this time they got it perfect - both picture and sound.

Although many of the review sites are saying that the picture is the same as last years blu ray edition of the film, to me it looks like about a 40% improvement.

Colours are brighter and deeper, grain is gone, more detail is clearer, and the contrast level is good. There is great definition in the picture, the picture is much sharper.

Soundwise there is a new 6.1 DTS HD Multi channel soundtrack that is THE BUSINESS. It may be that the new sound enhances the picture, I don't know but the sound is a vast improvement than last edition of the blu ray.

Overall then to my eyes and ears a vast improvement and should satisfy you in parts that the previous versions left you cold.

Hasta la vista

For anyone who has issues with the disc playback5
Check your firmware update. Like Kevin Jordan, I have a Sony BDP-S350 and initially encountered the same problems with the disc just freezing after location selection. I ran the firmware update and now it plays fine.

Gutted!2
being one of my favourite films I Bought the original bluray release last year and thought it was good. Heard good things about this new skynet edition so decided to relinquish another 25 bean. Dont bother. ok theres NOW special features and stuff. and I got to watch a few extra minutes by putting in the novelty access code on the outer sleeve ( had to retrieve it out the bin cos I always chuck away those outer sleeves). well dont bin it this time cos you need the (wait for it) extended special edition accesss code. Oooh. Ok to wrap it all up. Same print BUT more noise reduction (yeah you heard me). I have compared this to the original release and it is just a softer less grainy picture. And you bluray fans Know that that means that LESS DETAIL. How long will bluray rip us off. i'm so gullible, x
