Excellent Dance Instruction DVD5
This DVD is a real find! Perfect if you are getting married and having a panic about the first dance - you can choose from nine different dances, (foxtrot/salsa/waltz/tango) etc and it is so easy, its broken down into small teaching sections and is incredibly simple to follow.

There is loads of other stuff on the disc and it also contains music tracks so you can practice.

This is a great DVD - buy it!!

A good attempt4
This DVD is quite well done although I think it could be a little bit better in some respects, so 4 stars.

A good range of different dance styles but a little limited in the number of moves for some of them - especially the 'disco' section which will probably crop up at most parties these days.
Side, side, point, will get a bit repetative if you attempt to use it all night!

I was surprised that the multi-angle view feature of DVD wasn't used to provide an overhead animated set of dance steps.

Disappointing for me.1
I didn't think the dances were very well taught. Only a very quick step through of the turns in the rock and roll for example. Would be difficult for a couple to pick up the steps from this. It was also a bit off-putting to have the demo dancers doing a very high class pro routine, immediately before doing the mundane steps. Just seemed like showing off.
Pretty poor stuff overall.
