Wow!
I started reading late on the night I bought it and ended up staying up for hours until I'd finished the first section of the book. Wow! And I mean, Wow! I finally put the book down in the wee hours of the morning.
There are several easy, useful and enlightening exercises within and above all it is easy. Easy to read, easy to understand, no jargon, lots of metaphors, simple ideas which are easy to grasp. It's written using NLP skills, hypnotic language and lots of Michael's light-hearted, affable, humorous, non-judgemental personality. It gets to the heart of the matter very quickly.
It is the kind of book you almost want to race through, you want to read everything because so much resonates so quickly and then towards the end you slow down because you don't want to finish. Once you're finished you put it down and go about your life as normal, only it's not, (normal that is, not that there's such a thing as normal but you know what I mean) and you realise that you feel more motivated, energised and confident but the beauty of it is that it's not a big explosion, it's subtle change and it's elegant and totally capable of becoming the norm in your life. For all the subtlety it's no less powerful.
After a motivational/self-help seminar you may feel psyched and invincible, after reading this book you know that your limitations have shrivelled into completely manageable bite size pieces. Now, a few weeks after reading it, the effects are still here and completely integrated into my life.
Loved it!
Amazing!!!
Amazing!!Brilliant!! Awesome!! Funny!! Inspiritational!!! I could go on and on. This has to be the best book I have ever read in the "self help" category, (for want of a better term!) and I've read a few. Really made me sit up and start to do something. Michael has a knack of making me laugh and think at the same time. I am putting his ideas into action and they are working!!! I would highly recommend this to anybody, who is serious about making changes to their life and getting what they want!!
Innovative, Practical & Highly Entertaining
Michael's book is not one you "read", it's one to be "experienced". Before reading it, I wouldn't have believed there was anything really innovative left to say when it comes to goal setting and self-coaching, but every page of this book surprised me. I was very disappointed to finish it and envy anyone who has yet to read it.
Together with Mark Forster's excellent "Do It Tomorrow" which I happened to have finsihed immediately before Michael's book, I reckon I now know how to stop beating nyself up and start enjoying the journey which is, after all, what it's all about. Watch out for Michael's "thinking big" challenge, like much of the rest of this book, it turns conventional wisdom on its head with exciting results. I was tingling all over at the very prospect and have put my first two items into action today.
Massive success! Here I come.
