A worthwhile read4
I've yet to find a book that can come close to C. J. J. Berry's 'First Steps in Winemaking', which is excellent for both beginner and established brewer alike.

'125 Unusual Recipes' makes a good effort though, with a good introduction detailing techniques and equipment followed by a comprehensive list of weird and wonderful recipes which you are unlikely to encounter elsewhere else!

One thing to be wary of is that the quantities given are in U.S. imperial measurers, which will require conversion to UK units if you intend to fill a 4.5 litre demijohn.

Not bad but could be improved3
As a keen home winemaker I ordered this book and awaited its arrival with some anticipation, and I was not disappointed. The book has a lush array of enticing recipes. Perhaps the main criticism I have is that it doesnt always use ingredients gathered from the wild, and tends to rely very heavily on added chemicals - which is why I only gave the book 3 stars, as this is not my preferred way of brewing. Worth purchasing though just for the ideas and suggestions it includes!
