Synopsis
A VERY BRITISH GANGSTER explores one of Britain's most dangerous crime families, headed by Desmond 'Dessie' Noonan. The documentary delves deep into the murky, brutal world of organised crime and into the underclass which relies on it for protection and justice.

Customer Reviews

Very poor rubbish1
Well obviosuly this chap is not a very succesful gangster as he spends most of his time in prison. The product does not live up to the hype. Real gangsters woudl turn in their graves at this rubbish. Its note worthy that the people appearing in the film are all 18 year old wannabe hard men. No self respecting hard man would go within a mile of this rubbish. Save your money dont buy this garbage.

Another Wannabe2
Sadly another wannabe gangster who wishes he was one of the Krays. The only thing this guy has in common with the Kray is the fact he is gay, not that I have anything against gays.

Donal Macintyre makes a good documentary however this time his subject is just another person who roams the streets pretending to be the saviour to everyone's troubles.

A very British gangster is a laughable title as this guy just roams around with a load of young pups, boys not men, who idolise him because they have nothing else to look up to, sad really as there are many other gangsters out there with much more style and charisma. The successful and hardened criminals of this country must have been laughing when / if they see this especially when the pups step out a fake Volvo with livery that ironically resembles a Police vehicle with some wearing badly fitted cheap BHS store suits.

Sorry this documentary deserves nothing better than ignoring as it resembles nothing of the underworld just merely a load of ASBO kids.

2 stars only for the fact that Donal Macintyre did document a laughable subject

McIntyre at his best5
Yet again Donal McIntyre comes up trumps! Bravely going where no journalist would dare to go...this is a must see doc that ventures into the world of the gangster underground!
