The bad guys win!
This is a story of a desparate man out to impress his girlfriend. He makes up stories to make himself more exciting. While in the pub one night one of his more elaborate stories involving a drug deal is overheard by the Police. They don't think it's a story and he finds himself in the role of The Supergrass. Once he finds that the Police don't believe he made it up, he milks it for all it's worth. This results in a very funny story full of twists and turns and coincidences that will make you chuckle for decades. Yes decades!

This movie came out over 20 years ago but it still is relevant and very watchable. A who's who of British comedians from 'The Comic Strip Presents' stable. A fresh story then and a fresh story now. Make this a part of your DVD collection - you wont regret it. Better yet, get it as part of "The Comic Strip Presents: The Complete Collection" and enjoy other things fromt hem too.

A Classic
This is one of the classic early Comicstrips, & its fantastic. Robbie Coltrains Famous scene walking out on a concrete peir with waves crashing over him to the Music "Two Tribes" will stick in my mind for a long time to come. A must for all alternative comedy watchers.

Comic Strip Movie
Dont watch this if you're looking for the Rock band Supergrass, even tho' the DVD cover is obviously displaying a movie!. The Movie Supergrass was just as good as the episodes, If you are expecting The Young Ones style, you may be disapointed. A Great story and great roles played by Ade Edmondson, Robbie Coltrane and Nigel Planners character was a great support. 20+ years later, this comedy has not lapsed or dated!!!
