Customer Reviews

Elizabeth Conlon provides detailed watercolours of flowers.3
This book begins with explanations on the materials needed, colours used and basic watercolour techniques required for flower portraits.

There is a section on pencil drawing, showing how tone can be built up in pencil, with an explanation on how to make a master drawing. There is also a section on using pen and ink.

There are many different flowers demonstrated in steps to help you to understand the stages needed in producung a detailed watercolour of a particular bloom.

Overall I found this to be a well written book with many useful techniques. However, I also found the flower paintings illustrated to be a little harsh.
