Customer Reviews

The entire world packed in a mini-sized book4
The smallest edition in the Collins range of World atlases is this mini edition, which is generated entirely from digital databases. The maps are politically coloured, and include railways, main roads and especially a lot of places. The maps are amazingly accurate. The balance world coverage is reasonably well done, although especially Israel and the Eastern U.S.A. deserve larger scale mapping. There is not too much thematic content, although a statistical section of the world's states and territories is included. Of course, you can't expect to find all small towns in this mini-sized world atlas, but its index size of some 20,000 entries is matched by no other atlas of this size range. There is both a hardcover and a paperback edition, so this one is affordable for all. Recommended for anyone who wants a small but information-packed overview of the countries of the world. By the way, the maps have also been used in the Times Mini Edition World Atlas, but there colour relief shading has been added.
