Synopsis
This mini edition has been planned to provide balanced coverage of every part of the world in a series of reference maps, specially designed and created for this format to show detailed information at a small scale. The index to over 20,000 place names illustrates the scope of the atlas. The atlas includes over 100 pages of reference maps showing cities and towns, roads and railways; world and continent maps clearly locating every country in the world and providing information on landscape, climate and population; and data for each country including area, population, capital city and currency.

This book has incorrect information
Great book was spoilt by:
Harper Collins, the London based publishers have stated in this book “The Collins Mini Atlas of the World”, that the capital city of Israel is Jerusalem, not Tel Aviv.
Israel declared Jerusalem as its capital in violation of international law and UN resolutions. Its occupation of Jerusalem is illegal and it certainly has no right to make it the capital city of Israel, thereby attempting to annex it to Israel indisputably. Most of the international community has refused to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in accordance with their obligations under international law.
Harper Collins has disregarded this and stated on page 136 of the Atlas that the capital of Israel is Jerusalem. This is just the first step in indoctrinating the world into believing that Jerusalem belongs to Israel, and we must ensure to uphold international law.
Harper Collins should correct this fault, do not buy this book as this has a major error - too blatant to go unnoticed.
