Editorial Reviews

Review
Praise for Viginia Andrews: 'Beautifully written, macabre and thoroughly nasty! it is evocative of the nasty fairy tales like Little Red Riding Hood and The Babes in the Wood, with a bit of Victorian Gothic thrown in. ! What does shine through is her ability to see the world through a child's eyes' Daily Express 'Makes horror irresistible' Glasgow Sunday Mail 'A gruesome saga! the storyline is compelling, many millions have no wish to put this down' Ms London 'There is strength in her books -- the bizarre plots matched with the pathos of the entrapped' The Times

Great!!!!!5
Heaven is the first story of the Casteel-Tatterton saga, in which Heaven Leigh Casteel is the young girl trying to keep herself and her siblings alive and together. If readers have already read the prequel to this series then they know of the unforunate events that came upon Heaven's young mother Leigh. The story begins with Heaven hearing of her true heritage from her grandmother on the eve of her tenth birthday next to a grave in the Willies. Heaven is amazed to know that she came, not from the mother she has always known, but from a wealthy bostonian girl(whom the grave belongs to). After hearing the news Heaven is astounded but she still has that gnawing feeling in her stomach wishing for the love of her father who has always hated her for reasons unbeknown to her. Later on in the book Heaven is sold to strangers for $500 and made to be a cook, cleaner and punchbag to Kitty Dennison. Heaven's only saviour is her step-father Cal who later takes advantage of her vulnerability and once again heaven feels betrayed by the person she loved. This book is truley awe-inspiring and I'd give it 10 out of 10 every time! It is a must read!!

Absolutely her best5
Undoubtedly this book and "Flowers In The Attic" are the best books of Virginia Andrews. I couldn't put it down 'til I read the last letter and then I wanted to get the sequel immediately. Heaven is a strong young girl and all the other characters and relationships are extremely well-written, especially the love-hate feeling between Heaven and her father. When reading this book you'll feel their joys and tragedies as if they were happening to you. If you haven't read any of Andrews' books then begin with this one.

beautiful5
heavan was a beautiful poor young girl, her father hated the site of her as her mother died in child birth which she did not know of until she was 10 years old. Her brother Tom took care of her and fanny dispised her the two youngest loved her too bits as she did the housework and cooking in the shack in the hills, especialy after Sarah left. Then her father sold her brothers and sisters then finaly her. she ended up with a witch of a foster mother and seduced by cal her foster father. kitty treated her badly.. .excellent book my most favoured of the late Virginia Andrews and I have read every one.
