The evidence for the existence of the Mind as something distinct from the Brain. Betty Shine's new book centres on the Mind/Brain phenomenon and an argument that has dogged the scientific community for years. With a quarter of a century of experience of mediumship behind her, Betty Shine has the proof required to demonstrate the existence of Mind Energy as something which survived the physical death of the Brain. Drawing on survival evidence through many interesting and intriguing stories, this book is the first attempt by anyone to distinguish between Mind and Brain. Betty Shine can not only see it -- she can prove it. From out-of-body and near-death experience to clairvoyant contact and meditation, THE INFINITE MIND will inspire both individuals and the world of science to re-examine their beliefs.

Amazon.co.uk Review
In The Infinite Mind, Betty Shine, one of the most influential and indeed famous mediums of the 20th century, examines the mind/brain phenomenon--a theory she has discovered and developed over many years. A simple explanation of this is she believes that the mind functions as a separate entity to the brain itself and therefore can go on further and longer than the physical body.
By drawing on many intriguing and, at times, unnerving stories involving survival evidence and coma patients, Shine attempts to dispel some of the myths that surround death in the hope that her work will inspire individuals from all walks of life. She is particularly keen for scientists to readdress their beliefs as she attempts to unravel the meaning of life as well as death.
There can be little doubt that Shine has helped a huge number of people, many of whom have allowed their written testimonies to be used as evidence throughout The Infinite Mind. Some of the stories between these covers quite literally send a shiver down the spine and it is easy to see why so many people have such faith in Shine's abilities as a medium. There is a slight tinge of self-righteousness in her writing that grates more than a little, but in fairness, this does not prevent the book from being a provocative and captivating read. --Susan Harrison

A BEAUTIFUL BOOK - SHINE ON, BETTY!
Spirituality was never meant to be hard - it is as natural to humans as thinking. Unfortunately a large part of cultural conditioning in the West has the effect of systematically closing us down psychically.
This book clears away the fog of scepticism, dogmatism, mystification and hocus-pocus which have come to block and obfuscate what should be the birthright of every single person on this planet.
Betty describes how she rediscovered the natural and often astounding capacities of the human mind/spirit for herself, and demonstrates how any one of us can do the same. For those open and ready to receive it, this book can lead to as much practical spiritual attainment and understanding as anyone could hope to gain from years of toil in a monastery or esoteric order.
Writing in an engaging, honest, and down-to-earth manner, Betty Shine leads us through true spirituality in action, demonstrating how we can awaken and expand our minds in ways which not only enhance our own lives, but actually make us better people.
This is a wonderfully spiritual and insightful book, which would be well worth the price for the chapter on meditation alone.
A guide to explaining the power of the mind
The book was a revelation in explaining the power of the mind, and how it continues to function after death.
The book is extremely readable, and deals with all manner of everyday issues. It also contains advice on how to tackle problems using the mind, and also covers issues such as UFOs, hypnotism, pollution of the planet and alternative medicine.
An invaluable guide to life, explained clearly and with humour.
A worthwhile book to read after her mind to mind series
I had lent this book to a friend and now they have asked if I can buy one for them from Amazon. I think the negative review I have seen is from someone who bought the book unintentionally and why write a review then? Dogs and football are important in many people's lives and the book is of more experiences from someone who has a very rare gift. It further gives evidence for physical reality being the tip of the iceberg. To the sceptical it is important to have an open mind. I personally believe Betty Shine as someone who has incredible proof of an after life. Read her other books as well.
