Amazon.co.uk Review
A storm is raging through the park causing Percy, the park keeper, to have a sleepless night worrying about the damage being done to his beloved park. When he gets up the next morning he finds the old oak tree has been blown down. This is a disaster for all his animal friends who used the tree as their home. Fortunately, Percy is on hand to help find them a new place to live.
The simple text and expressive illustrations perfectly combine to create a picture storybook that is ideal for reading aloud to young children. The poster-sized gatefold at the end is an added surprise and is a superb example of Nick Butterworth's skills as an illustrator. (Ages 2 to 6)

About the Author
Nick Butterworth was born in North London in 1946 and grew up in a sweet shop in Essex. He now lives in Suffolk with his wife Annette and they have two grown-up children, Ben and Amanda. The inspiration for the Percy the Park Keeper books came from Nick's many walks through the local park with the family dog Jake.
Customer Reviews
Bit wordy. Does that make sense in a children's book?
I bought this off the back of 'One Snowy Night' which we really enjoyed. 'After the storm' is a bit weak in comparison. The story is not as captivating and a bit 'wordy' (if that make sense).
The illustrations are nice but nothing special and the fold-out tree house not as interactive as other Percy books.
Never mind.
