Product Description

Freshly jacketed massmarket edition of this bestselling guide to beating arthritis through nutrition. With over 60 delicious recipes from cook Marguerite Patten, who completely eased her own painful arthritic symptoms through diet, and a comprehensive self-treatment plan from nutritionist Jeannette Ewin. Marguerite Patten suffered from crippling arthritis, but was completely eased of her painful symptoms after following Giraud Campbell's original classic arthritis diet, The New Doctor's Proven Home Cure for Arthritis. However, as a cook she found the recipes impractical and often unpalatable- so she set about creating a whole new set of easy to prepare, good to eat, arthritis-beating recipes. The 60 delicious recipes are accompanied by a nutritional plan devised by Harvard medical School trained nutrition expert and author Jeannette Ewin

Editorial Reviews

Review
/ "All in all this book is compelling, readable, practical and workable. I recommend it highly." Suzannah Oliver in 'Positive Health', November 2001 / 'I was given your book for my 89th birthday! I have followed your advice and now 4 months later I have given up painkillers. It is truly wonderful to be free from pain and go about my household duties, my garden and daily walks with pleasure again. It's a joy to get out of bed. My heartfelt thanks to God and you who have brought about this miracle. If only more people would believe in you both.' Mrs Mary Cope

AMAZINGLY THIS IS HELPING BETHANY SIMPSON WHEN WE WERE TOLD DIET WOULD NOT HELP!!!! 5

I have tried Bethany Simpson on this plan "Behind My Smile" A look at Juvenile Arthritis and she is having a little positive change to her health already. Bethany is finding it easier to breath and to tackle the stairs. It is a real hope for us as seeing your child in so much pyshical and emotional pain is soul destroying. The honey especially is helping and she seems a bit calmer. We have only been following for 4 days so I have high hopes. I would love her to come off the anti-tnf drugs even though they are helping we can see the side effects. Thank you for writing the book.

Marguerite Patten cookbook5
Excellent little book. Very informative chapters on self-help, lifestyle changes, what is arthritis and a seven week diet plan. The recipes are easy to follow, Marguerite Patten influenced my cooking from an early age so she knows what she is talking about with regards to food. Good question and answer chapter at the end of the book for those little niggling issues you may have. Take this little book away on holiday to ensure you stick to your new way of eating.

eat to beat arthritis1
It contains very little information about Gout except to say that many of the recipes are of no help to people suffering from it. It does not provide any specific and useful advice about what to eat or what not to eat or why eating some foods cause pain. It was a waste of money.
