Full of facts, great info - pity about the layout (2001 edition)
Lots of facts, helpful information, some excellent ideas ... all three of my daughters used this guide but two of them have told me that they found the layout and monotone format difficult to work with. When learning a subject such as biology colour can be a useful thing - unfortunately when study guide is in black and white it can make life very difficult for pupils with dyslexia or dyscalculia and several other learning difficulties. They need the colour and setup to be condusive to memorising the facts - I know of several dyscalculics who have gone on the study and gain Bachelor of Science degrees heavy on maths and science, when they have been given the right aides and encouragement. Hopefully these problems were addressed in the 2003 edition.
