Customer Reviews

Excellent confidence builder and good examination practice4
As a teacher of chemistry I can see the potential of this book in aiding improved examination performance. The book gives an excellent indication of the level of detail required to get full marks in examinations. It also clearly identifies the key points from each area which must be known, so serves as a good aid to revision. The scope of this book in teaching is varied. It could be used to provide useful homework or cover lesson material or alternatively be used to develop the students' examination skills. The sections which include questions with student answers are particularly good at highlighting common mistakes that cost marks!

Lots of facts, little colour : 2001 edition3
1 out of 3 of my daughters found this revision guide helpful. 2 out of 3 found the layout and lack of colour did not help revision. They all agree that this book is very full of useful facts - if only they could remember them. CONCLUSION: Unfortunately the black and grey and white format and busy layout is not condusive to efficient revision and this would be especially problematic to those students with problems such as dyslexia, dyscalculia etc. who need colour rather than monotone to aid their memory processes. Hopefully the newer 2003 edition has addressed these problems.
