Customer Reviews

Stunning - I was captivated by the artwork in this book5
Both traditional and more innovative watercolour techniques are covered in this beautiful book, ranging from laying a simple wash on a pansy to using interesting texture-making processes to suggest seed heads or ruffled petals. Advice is also given on using gouache and colourful watercolour inks. The step by step demonstrations featuring a wide variety of flowers were very instructive, and the use of a number of different interpretations of similar objects for comparison helped enormously. Absolutely stunning illustrations.

Flower Painting.4
Flower Painting is addective! All it needs is practice, getting to grips with colour mixes and the dreaded "Tone". When you find that that this is the mix of darks, mediums and lights the penny drops!!!! When you have sorted that you are away. This book gives you a good head start. Each excersie is better than the last

Ann Blockley - an inspiration!5
I love Ann Bloskley's paintings and her books have urged me to try something a bit different in my own paintings.
I bought this book for a friend for her birthday, she said she needed inspiration so this will kick start her creativity!
