A compelling book for young children.5
I remember being completely absorbed by this book when I was a child. Now my son has loved my old copy to death: so I'm buying another. He finds it so diverting that he'll eat broccoli while looking at the pictures and trying to find Goldbug.... Say no more....

Fantastic Book!5
We've had this book for 2 days now and my 3yr old son cannot put it down! With drawings of real 'things that go' and some not so real, such as 'cheese car', 'propeller car' and 'corn on the cob car'! This is my sons third Richard Scarry book and I will be getting him a couple more for Christmas.
The book is extremely detailed and each character and car is very different from the next. Every time you look at this book you will see something different. The only downside is that my son likes reading it at bedtime, but stares at the pages for ages as they are so detailed, so bedtime is now an hour longer! It truly is a great book, and certainly fires up the imagination!

Excellent5
As a child my brother and I used to race to see who could find the golden bug first. The book has gone though 8 cousins as is on to the next generation and is battered so buying a new one so that it can go on for a few more generations! Love it, it is a must for any child
