Marvelous Book, Must Read
This book is simply amazing. The story is a bloody inspiration that makes you rethink your own pitiful life. When I first picked up this handsome book, I couldn't put it down, honestly because of the photography within. However, after reading the foreword, and digging into the meat of the story, I realized this was far more than just a picture book that the skateboarder down the street might drool over. It is a serious business biography put together in a way that is not only informative, but fun. One of the co-owners of this amazing company (DC Shoes) started working with two skateboarders when he was nearly sixty years old. This is what inspired me. As the writer of the book says in his foreword, it's never too late to realize your dreams. This book does well to remind us all why we work, and to strive for a job that not only pays the bills but we enjoy. The book is loaded with well-written profiles on some of the most talented athletes in the world--not cricket or gridiron , but surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and moto cross racing. In a marvelous way, AGENTS OF CHANGE transcends the so-called Extreme World and gives us a reality check, reminding us to follow our dreams.
Don't buy this book!!!!
If u like sneakers and u are interested in DC shoes don't buy this book!!! Only the first 30 pages are inherent with sneakers and DC history...the last 226?? Interview with Dc athlets; but u can find this infos all over the web. Consider that in this book dedicated on DC u find only (little) photos of 20-30 models of sneakers ... where are all the other models produced in these years??? Very disappointing!!!
