Synopsis
Scott Peterson was convicted of two counts of murder on November 12 and on December 13, he was sentenced to death. After Laci Peterson was thought to have disappeared and a month into the investigation, Amber Frey came forward to tell the police of her affair with Scott Peterson. The affair began 6 weeks before Laci disappeared. Amber had no idea that Scott was married, and in fact thought he was the man of her dreams, the one and only. She has been set up on a blind date by her best friend. She and Scott had been intimate and she thought they were planning a future. Little did she know that on the day he was arrested the police found a knife and tape and a newly printed map to Amber's office and USD 15,000 in cash. Was she in danger? We will never know, but considering the evidence she was able to give the prosecution, there is little doubt that Scott Peterson was not a good man. Loyola Law School Professor, Stan Goldman, has said "The jury never saw Scott the same way. Her testimony just haunted the defense until the verdict." In fact, Amber was asked to meet with Laci Peterson's mother and three of her girlfriends after Amber held the press conference.

A Witness With A Story To Tell
Amber Frey is receiving a great deal of publicity for her book "Witness: For the Prosecution of Scott Peterson". This is a fairly well written book by someone who has never written an article never mind a book. I would suspect her lawyer, Gloria Aldred, was very helpful. Someone like Amber Frey needs a good mentor, and she has one.

Laci's mother and her friends were very gracious and kind and thanked Amber for coming forward.
This is, of course, a kiss and tell book. That is ok. Amber Frey deserves some justice and had a need to tell her story. She has revealed some deep, dark secrets, and that is her right and courageous of her to do so. A movie is in the works, I am told. The public has a nose for this kind of story. Someone has to tell it. Recommended. prisrob
Truly the bedt true crime story I have read
I was reading my national enquire and cought a glimpse of the disapernce of Laci Peterson and was so intrested in the story that I bought the enquire to read the story any chance that I has. My heart goes out to laci's family. After watching the E! true holllywood story I set out to find the book, i was in New York on Hoilday and was unable to find the book, My boyfriend happend to have an account and was able to find the book. Which I would recomend to anyone who knows the story. I think that Amber Frey is a down to earth home girl and has done the right thing, And not telling the press her story. I feel for her haveing to deal with all of that pressure. I also see how she would not let this affect her private life as well as her children. My heart goes out to Amber & her family and espically Laci and Conner petersons family, And scott Peterson got what he desvered.
