Her interest in folk medicine stems from personal memories of home remedies used in her family for many generations. Shalini (Sally) Devi Holkar is an American by birth and an Indian princess by marriage. She has written for many periodicals, and heads up the Women Weave International Fund, to promote economic development for women in India.
