Customer Reviews

If you're gonna take the Step1's, then start with this one..5
This is a MUST HAVE book. If you are planning on taking the Step1, this book explains where and just how to start. It even has a list of other review books with ratings from students who finished the Exam. The setup is well organized, with plenty of mneumonics to help you, especially, if you're out of time and for last minute cramming. The First-Aid is a High-Yield book and every medical student should have a copy.

AN ABSOLUTE MUST!5
I gave my USMLE Step 1 in 2002 and this book was indispensable. It covers all the major topics in a way that you retain the maximum amount of relevant information with the least expenditure of effort. Since time is of the essence during your USMLE preparation, the amount of time saved is a Godsend.

Definately read the book from cover to cover leaving nothing out. The questions that are given in the Step I are varied and vast and can come from any area of medicine. First Aid for Step I will mentally prepare you for those type of questions and will also help making you more confident and sure when answering these type of questions during the test.

Combining this book with your major core USMLE texts (like Kaplan) will most certainly ensure a very high grade in the 95's and above. Scored a 99 myself!!

Excellent for Second Year Med Students.5
We at The BookMarc highly recommend this book to help you organize and focus your studying during the second year of medical school. Get it early.
