About the Author
Mervin Fingas (Orleans, Ontario) is the Chief, Emergencies Sciences Division Environment Canada. He is currently in charge the hazardous material clean-up connected with Swiss Air crash off of Newfoundland. He is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Hazardous Materials pub by Elsevier. Mr. Fingas is the Editor of Spill Science Newsletter, published by Environment Canada. He is on the executive committee of ASTM F-20 on spill standards.
