Customer Reviews
Informative but not as easy to read as I'd have liked
This is not a bad starting point for tech' analysis but it does need a little rereading to get the full gist of what the author is trying to convey. She is a fund manager (rather than a pure academic) so in that respect it is very useful. I'd have prefered it to be in a different format as the book uses charts extensively and these do not really lend themselves to this size/type of layout.
lacking detail where you need it
I don't think there is enough detailed explanation to make this book any more than a reference to Technical Analysis. It is NOT all about Technical Analysis. It is annoying that you have to turn the page to see charts that are referred to in her text. She skims over many important points so you are left wondering which book to buy to augment this one. It got three stars because she has awakened me to the possibility of using Gann and Fibonacci to predict price moves. Unfortunately she does not say much about the limitations of these methods and when not to use them. Some of her explanations assume you have some knowledge of the subject, if you don't then you will find it a difficult read. It is a shame because this book is aimed at the beginner and does have some essential to know points on how to use properly RSI indicators, Fib and Gann lines - according to Constance many traders and software developers don't use or program Fib and Gann properly. It is worth a read if you are new to Technical Analysis but you will need dedicated books on each type of indicator she touches on.
