A clear and accurate book
I was recently diagnosed with bipolar after struggling with it for many years, this is the first book i've read about it, but was very impressed with the style and content. I found it not only gave me a better understanding of my thoughts and behaviours but also helped my family to understand. The book is layed out in a practicle and managable way, with advice, science, examples from real patients, and excersises you can try.
I was suprised at how accuratly they had conveyed emotions and syptoms i had experienced. The book is not dumbed down but is simple and easy to understand. It is broken down into managable chunks so even on worst days i still managed to read a little. The information is up to date and the writing is sypmathetic but proffesional. I would say this book is a must have for anyone dealing with bipolar or knows someone with this disorder.
