Not for medical students2
As a second year student of medicine, I would have to say that this book is, by any means, not nearly good enough for medical students. And that you would surely not pass your exam with this book only.

Apposed to other, even older books, the book has a very ilogical division into chapters, which makes it very hard to find what you are looking for. It also simply skips many parts of the "basics", which is essensially what medical student want!

So my advice is to buy Gayton & Hall instead, much easier to understand, excellent explations, simply a much better book!
