Previous Experience of SQL Server Required...4
Had this book for about 6 months now, and it has quickly become a "Bible" on my desk. If you have experience of SQL or SQL Server and need help to get to 2005 this is probably the book for you, however for a complete beginner I wouldn't recommend this book.

Real practical steps how to make things work, from simple T-SQL scripting, right the way up through pretty advanced SQL Server 2005 administration, and everything inbetween.

Only down side to this book is the author does seem to flit between understandable concepts to very difficult ones from page to page which usually results in looking into the index and re-reading previous pages.

I'm not a database administrator by any stretch of the imagination but for my use of reporting and general occasional admin this book is great!
