A beautiful insight into the design of Episode 1.
If you have seen any of the other books in the Art of Star Wars series you will have an idea of what to expect in this book. Many of the designs for the creatures, sets and vehicles used in Episode 1 are featured, beautifully arranged and chronicling a lot of the design decisions made by Doug Chiang and George Lucas in the design process.
Heavily influenced by Ralph McQuarrie and Joe Johnston, Doug Chiangs work is vibrant and fresh as well as respectful and in keeping of previous work in designing Star Wars.
The book features many production paintings by Chiang, and his marker renderings of his designs. Also included are works by many other artists hand plucked from ILM for this movie.
Now I can't wait for the Art of Episode 2!
