Editorial Reviews

Review
Food, and how we think of it, has changed drastically over the last century. This fascinating anthology from Dickson Wright (one of the 'two fat ladies') has compiled wonderful titbits on writing about food from the last century, from advice on how to make sponge cake in a frying pan to Monty Python's Spam song. There are lots of illustrations and the writing comes from people as diverse as Somerset Maugham and Elizabeth David. A truly wonderful book to dip in and out of, and to savour. (Kirkus UK)
