Customer Reviews

Colonel's Daughter3
I had just been on a Rose Tremain binge, The Colour and Restoration were fabulous i could not put them down.I read one right after the other.
I decided to buy three more of her books based on my enjoyment of her stuff and because i had read a review on Amazon that Rose does just not produce anything that is not good.
Well i started the Colonel's Daughter somehow missing the fact that it was a book of short stories and wondered why i was getting introduced to so many seemingly unrelated characters.
I realized my folly but couldn't go on. I will maybe go back to it but it really was no where near as good as the above mentioned novels.I was not hooked.
Very dissapointing.
