A new addition to the family can bring mixed emotions - excitement, anticipation and maybe a little jealousy from other siblings. This is an excellent story designed to ease the concerns of small children and alleviate some of their worries. At first DW is excited about the new baby, but this soon wears off as baby Kate spends a lot of time eating, sleeping and crying, and as far as DW is concerned, hogging way too much of her parents' time. As resentment starts to build, big brother Arthur comes to the rescue and reminds DW of the fun they had together when she was a baby. This is a wonderful book full of clear illustrations and activities for small children. Written in an interactive style, they will love reading this with an adult while perhaps understanding a little more about the changes in their lives. (Kirkus UK)
