Amazon.co.uk Review
Switchers, the first children's book by Kate Thompson, was an immediate success, piling up rave reviews and making its way onto the Nestlé Smarties Book Prize shortlist. Midnight's Choice is the second book in the trilogy and picks up where Switchers left off. Tess, now at ease with her ability to change her form into that of any animal she chooses, befriends another Switcher, Martin, who uses his mystical powers for far darker ends than Tess could have imagined possible. Drawn into her new companion's sinister, twilight world, she discovers a way of life which is at once terrifying and seductive. It is only when she is forced to make a choice between good and evil that she realises things are never as clear cut as they seem and faces a battle, not only with the darkness, but with her own, newfound, self.
An overwhelming, mysterious novel which delves deep into the mind and soul, Midnight's Choice tells a spellbinding story which takes the reader to the heart of an oppressive and chilling world where a sense of impending danger lurks around every corner, and cleverly unites the elements of fantasy and reality in one fast-paced, utterly mesmerising book. (Ages 10 ands over). --Susan Harrison

Customer Reviews
SUPERB, EXCELLENT, A MUST BUY!
Switchers 2, (Midnights choice) is a thrilling book that is worth every penny. You won't want to put it down after 14 year-old Tess has met the strange Martin and poor Kevin has been captured... It does help if you've read the orriginal book Switchers as it quotes that sometimes. It also ends when you don't know what's happened to Martin which means you have to read/buy Switchers 3, (Wild Blood, the conclusion) to find out how it all ends up. Slightly more scary than the orriginal book it's certain not to let you put it down once you've picked it up, so make sure you need no sleep before you read it! All I can say to any willing young readers, who've read Switchers is BUY IT OR ELSE...!
