About the Author

Ze-Nian Li and Mark S. Drew are in the School of Computing Science at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. Drs. Li and Drew have each published more than 80 referred papers in journals and conference proceedings in multimedia and allied fields.

Firm base for multimedia techniques.4
This book gives a firm base on data formats used in multimedia applications aswell as adequate information to get you started on photo and video compression techniques. The only downside for me was that considering the price and the subject, this book only contains a few full colour images spread across only a couple of pages in the center of the book. Euro (dollar)/page this is not the cheapest book around, but then again this title was used in a multimedia course I took.
