Customer Reviews

The best book on Access 2000 I have ever read!5
If you only buy one book on MS Access, let it be this one. It comes in large, attractive, easy-to-read format and each chapter consists of hands-on, practical exercises on Access files you can download from the Internet. You can see yourself making progress from chapter to chapter, and this is where this book succeeds where others fail. I am studying for my Computing HNC and this book will be invaluable to me in my Database Design assignment. Highly recommended.

Fantastic book for would be designers4
I am mostly a self taught user of Access and this is the first book, (and I've tried several), that sets out the design process and structure of Access with complete clarity. The book is broken down into manageable workshops each with a specific objective, the reader has to complete these tasks using the application before moving on. A the end of each workshop there is a summary section to review the task and some extra hands-on tasks for the reader to attempt by themselves.

If you learn by doing, and most people do, then this book is a useful guide to get you started.

The book I bought does not come with a floppy or CD-Rom1
I bought this from another bookseller, I don't know if that matters. But if the book doesn't come with the practice files with it, the web site that the book refers to does not let you download the complete files that the book refers to.
